 The First
The First was born in St. Vincent in the Grenadines, in the West Indies. He’s been back and forth from the islands to Brooklyn since he was five. Once he turned ten he moved to Brooklyn for good, where he got into the New York hip-hop scene. He perfected his flow and style until he felt he was ready to perform in front of local crowds at the age of 13. Due to family issues in Brooklyn, he moved out to the west with his mom, where he would get further involved in recording, performances, and battles from San Jose to San Francisco, and some events in Oakland. He started recording mix tapes and compositions with other local artists in the neighborhood. Gained a lot of his style and delivery from his cousin, DJ Jooky Jams, who helped him get into the party and hip-hop scene. Then, about 3 years back, The First teamed up with Sal O and the CEO Click to record the hit single CEO, which became a local anthem. The First was the first artist to officially be signed to G-Spot Entertainment. He is now currently working on up and coming projects; you can expect to hear blood, sweat, and tears on each of this artist’s songs.
